Brand refresh and packaging design for an authentic Indian spiced rum.
The existing packaging design was premium, but it lacked authenticity. We were asked to create a new brand that captured the richness and tradition of the Punjabi people and their culture.
Challenge—
Land of the Five Rivers, the spiritual home of rum.
The Indian state of Punjab translates as ‘The land of five rivers’ (Panj – Five) and (Āb – Water).
In the foothills of the Himalayas, five mineral-rich rivers start their journey nourishing the land as they flow into India, meeting in Punjab, a vibrant melting-pot of religions and cultures and a land abundant in sugar-cane and spice plantations. It’s said that Punjab is the spiritual home of rum.
